Comforting Spiritual Truths to Remember in Trials
Hello Everyone. After my computer crashed, I haven't been able to write any but thanks to library computers here I am. ;) Anyways, since it's been so long and I'm no good at typing intros anyways I'm just going to get on with this lol. 😂
Many times during sad and trying seasons of our lives, it can be easy to get down and be focused on all of the many heart-wrenching circumstances that we don't understand. However, that's definitely not what God wants us to do and through Him, we have so many reasons to be happy and rejoice despite the trial and confusion.
1. Through Christ, we already have the victory. "O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord." 1 Corinthians 15:55-58
2. God has a purpose for absolutely everything. The things we don't understand, the heartache, valleys, and the mountain tops... None of it is without purpose and even if we don't understand the reason until we're in heaven, He will show us then. "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28
3. The sadness is only for a moment. "weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning." Psalm 30:5b
4. We aren't in this alone. Even in the middle of the night when you can't sleep because your heart aches so bad, He is there to comfort you and pick you up. "When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee." Isaiah 43:2 "Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." Hebrews 13:5
5. His goodness and faithfulness is not based on our fleshly feelings. No matter how upset and sad sometimes even mad we may be Gods goodness is NOT based on how we feel about everything and He is always faithful even when we're questioning where He is. "O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever." Psalm 118:1 "Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;" Deuteronomy 9:9
These two songs are great reminders that He is always there and He is our faithful friend.
"When the world is crumbling round you and everything goes wrong And you feel that there is no use to carry on. Just remember Jesus loves you and cares for His own. So trust in Him when hope is almost gone.

When satan comes to tempt you and tries to make you doubt the Lord is near to hold you by the hand. With loving arms around you He'll gently lead you out. He'll strengthen you and give you grace to stand."

Jesus is a Friend that sticks closer than any brother ever can When the ones that you have trusted prove untrue, on Him you can depend He will never fail or let you down and His love will help your broken heart to mend So pick up the broken pieces and turn around, you’ll find a Faithful Friend"
